There are ‘out-of-school’ clubs for young people (under 18) with autism in many areas.
These clubs are a good place to make friends, develop social skills and take part in activities. They may also run activities such as going to the cinema or out for a meal.
You might want to join a club relating to your special interest where you can meet other people with similar interests. [See ‘How can I make friends?’ in Friends & Relationships]
Or you could set up your own club and then promote it locally to find people with similar interests who may want to join.
