The AET welcomes new training partners

Thanks to a recent rapid expansion, our training programmes are now available in 62 local authority areas. We are very excited to see a steady interest in our services and welcome our new partners.

Bob Lowndes, AET’s Director, says: “We are particularly pleased to see more and more local authorities frame their response to autism in our programme. Local authority commissioners and managers increasingly recognise that a modest investment in our programme can bring immense benefits in terms of capacity building in local early years, school and post 16 settings. We are often told that employing good education practice for autistic students benefits all students and we are encouraged to see the word spreading.  Our 360°holistic approach offers good practice standards, competency frameworks face-to-face training, and a wealth of practical resources and strategies supporting practitioners in their everyday work. There remains too many autistic children and young people who are denied an effective education but with our collective commitment we can continue to bring improvement.”

Please visit our website to book training with our partners in your area, now including: Cheshire West and Chester, Sefton, Stockport, Durham, Rotherham, Telford & Wrekin, South, Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Plymouth, Poole, Bournemouth and Ceredigion in Wales.

Our goal is to extend our reach further and bring the programme to all local authorities. We work with local delivery partners to provide face-to-face training to educational settings 0 to 25. Our partners are professional organisations with experience in the field of autism education and a knowledge of the local context. They are typically local authority outreach services, teaching/specialist schools, colleges, universities, early years providers, multi academy trusts, voluntary or private sector organisations. Contact us if you would like to join our community of dedicated training partners and help making a real difference to the lives of autistic children and young people in your area.
