  • evaluating and developing autism practice within your setting
  • auditing staff knowledge and skills and identifying professional development needs
  • understanding how the pursuit of good autism practice can support wider regulatory and good practice compliance.

Principles

The materials will be used to promote the following principles:

  1. Focus on difference and not deficit
  2. Have high expectations and promote positive attitudes to autism
  3. Focus on securing learning goals that are meaningful to the child and support positive outcomes

Using the Autism Education Trust training, this course will support leaders/SENCOs and senior practitioners to create culture change across their provision.
